Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my aloe have Propagation failure?

Cause: Aloe possesses vegetative reproduction capabilities—adventitious roots can form from offsets (pups) at the base of the mother plant. This survival mechanism allows rapid propagation even from mature specimens, creating genetically identical clones.

Solution: Offset removal: Wait until pups reach 3-4 inches tall with their own root initials visible

Prevention: Always propagate from healthy parent plants. Use sterile tools and fresh sterile soil for cuttings. Allow cut wounds to callus (dry seal) before planting to prevent bacterial infection.
